Alphabet Soup: What are the differences between CBD, CBN and CBG?

These are heady times here at Cibadol, as we continue to pioneer hemp-derived cannabidiol (CBD) products for a constantly-growing consumer base.

And while more scientists, companies and consumers discover the benefits of CBD, word is spreading about the importance of other cannabinoids, the chemical compounds found in cannabis.

In particular, there’s been a lot of talk about two of these cannabiniods: Cannabinol (CBN) and Cannabigerol (CBG).

CBN, which has no psychoactive effects, is being looked at by researchers for its sedative effects. “Not only is it sedative, it takes very little to do the job,” notes California-based Steep Hill Labs, a well-known cannabis science and technology firm.

CBG is another non-psychotropic cannabinoid that is reportedly showing great promise for its potential to reduce inflammation and assist the body’s immune system.

At Cibadol we’re constantly perfecting our CBD products, to ensure our isolates, pills and salves remain consistent, potent and of the highest quality.

But we’re also focusing on how CBD works with the other cannabinoids naturally found in cannabis, and that includes CBN and CBG. With that in mind Cibadol is preparing to release some products later this year that will have higher ratios of CBN and CBG.

In the meantime we continue to offer our customers CBD supplements and  products made from the finest quality, non-GMO, full-spectrum hemp CBD oil, all grown and manufactured here in Colorado and legal across the United States.
