Frequently Asked Questions

What is CBD?

CBD stands for Cannabidiol. It is the single most prominent, naturally-occurring cannabinoid component found in industrial hemp plants and is “a cannabinoid devoid of psychoactive effect,” meaning that you will not become intoxicated if you consume CBD. After THC (Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol), hemp CBD is by far the most studied natural cannabinoid. According to many researchers, CBD may be the single most important cannabinoid ever discovered.

Is Hemp / CBD Legal?

All products at Hemp Depot are legal because they are derived explicitly from hemp, and no prescription is required. We have 100% THC free options as well. Our products are legal for air transport and we ship discreetly to all 50 states.

What is the difference between Hemp and Marijuana?

Hemp and Marijuana are both cannabis, however hemp has under 0.3% THC. Although CBD can be found in marijuana, it is not legal in marijuana. CBD from hemp is legal. Hemp is cannabis that grows as nature intended, and it’s naturally rich in cannabidiol (CBD), while most marijuana is carefully cultivated to be high in THC and low in CBD. When hemp is grown from specific cannabis varieties that have even higher levels of CBD naturally, it doesn’t make legal or practical sense to obtain CBD from marijuana.

Through a combination of our unique cultivation, advanced plant genetics and growing techniques, an exceptionally high percentage of CBD can be produced naturally and consistently in the hemp plant. And through the application of proprietary technologies, we have perfected a means of extracting CBD from hemp with an almost 99% purity rate, creating legal and non-psychoactive CBD-rich hemp oil. Because the federal government considers hemp distinct from marijuana, cannabinoids found naturally in hemp oil and hemp products face no legal restrictions and may be freely imported to the United States and in most of the industrialized world.

At Hemp Depot, all of our products are derived from agricultural hemp and are the best way to obtain the benefits of the cannabis plant legally.

Will I Pass A Drug Test?

We are unable to legally state whether or not one of our customers will pass a drug test for any of our products. If that is a concern, we recommend doing some further research before making the decision to consume any CBD product.

Will I Get “high”?

No, CBD is non-psychoactive. It will not create a ‘high’ like with marijuana use.

Does it contain thc?

Our Cibadol Zero products contain absolutely no THC. The remainder of our products use full spectrum oil which contain less than 0.3% THC.

When Will My Order Ship?

Orders ship next day (excluding weekends and holidays). Unless you choose expedited shipping, orders ship USPS priority which is 1-3 business days for delivery.

We discreetly ship to all 50 states!
Do You Have A Batch Number System?

Yes! All of our products have a batch number and expiration date on the bottom of the container.

are your products tested?
Yes! All of our products are independently batch tested before bottling to ensure the CBD content is as advertised.
What Is Sunflower Lecithin?

Lecithin is a natural emulsifier that keeps fats from separating from other fluids. It is critical to healthy cell function in several ways. By keeping the cell membranes soft and permeable, various nutrients can be more easily absorbed. By added lecithin to our products the body can absorb CBD much more effectively.

What Is MCT Oil?

Our MCT is harvested from 100% coconuts, and processed for purity. Unlike most other brands that harvest MCTs from palm oil, (a much cheaper and environmentally taxing source), by using pure coconut oil we also deliver approximately 30% Lauric Acid, an important form of MCT that acts as a slower burning fuel source. This is an excellent complement to the faster burning C8 and C10 chains (38% and 31% respectively), allowing for a longer energy curve and an optimized digestive experience. In addition, Lauric Acid is a raw source material for the production of monolaurin, a potent nutrient not often found in the normal diet. Monolaurin is actually found naturally occurring in human breast milk and is seldom found in the normal diet.

What Is Full-Spectrum vs. Isolate?

All of our products (excluding Cibadol Zero) are made with full spectrum CBD oil. This means they have naturally occurring terpenes, and other cannabinoids such as CBN and CBG.

Is Your Hemp Organic?

Although our hemp is not certified organic, we use strict organic farming practices. We don’t use any pesticides or herbicides on our farm.

Is Your Hemp Grown In Colorado?

Yes! All of our hemp is grown in sunny Colorado. Its hand planted, hand harvested and dried indoors.

How Much Should I Give My Animal?

We recommend 2.5mg per 10 lbs. Example: if you have an animal that weighs 40 lbs, we recommend 10mg per serving.

How Many MG Should I Take?

Customers typically take our products 1-3 times per day. Although our standard dosage is 10-60mg per serving, people in extreme circumstances take up to 500mg per day.

How Do I Choose the Right Strength / Concentration for the Product?

Some types of Hemp CBD are much stronger than others. The first place you should start in determining strength is by looking at the number of milligrams of CBD in the bottle. A lotion with only 50 mg would be similar to using a non-CBD-based lotion. We recommend topical products have a minimum of 300 mg CBD, and ideally, salve products should have at least 900 mg.

Which Form of CBD Absorbs the Fastest?

Hemp CBD products in order of fastest absorption are vaping, tinctures, topical application, isolate, and then pills. Vaping Hemp CBD has nearly instant absorption, while sublingual Hemp CBD will absorb in a few minutes, and ingestion methods can take up to an hour.

How Do I Use the Topical?

Rub the lotion / salve on the desired area as needed.

How Do I Use the Pills?

Take 1-2 pills up to three times daily.

How Do I Use the Tincture?

Simply fill the dropper and squirt the contents under your tongue and wait 30 seconds before swallowing.

How Do I Use Isolate?

Isolate is typically ‘dabbed’ or vaporized, although it can be added into anything oil or alcohol based. This can include anything from lotions to food and drinks.

How Can I Be Sure I Am Getting the Concentration Shown on the Packaging?

Concentration is important, so we recommend looking for Hemp CBD brands that perform third-party testing to guarantee higher consistency between the concentration on the label and what is shown in the third-party testing.
